Canada Strongly Condemns Bombing in Colombia
May 15, 2012 - The Honourable Diane Ablonczy, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas and Consular Affairs), today issued the following statement:
“Canada strongly condemns today’s bombing in Bogotá. On behalf of all Canadians, I extend my deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those killed in the attack, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
“Canada’s engagement with our neighbours in the Americas has never been stronger, and we stand with our Colombian friends at this difficult time.
“Canada and Colombia have strong ties. Our two countries share the values of freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.”
