Canada Extends Condolences to Mexico as Hurricanes Ingrid and Manuel Continue to Strike Parts of Country

September 20, 2013 – The Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State (Foreign Affairs and Consular), today issued the following statement concerning hurricanes Ingrid and Manuel:

“On behalf of all Canadians, I offer my deepest condolences and sympathies to those who have lost loved ones or have otherwise been affected by the hurricanes.

“Canada continues to closely monitor events in the region and stands in solidarity with the Mexican people."
