Minister Ablonczy meets with Guy Lamontagne, Business Development Director, Société de coopération pour le développement international (SOCODEVI), in Montréal on October 11, 2011.
Minister Ablonczy and Mr. Lamontagne discussed issues related to economic development in the Americas.
"The interchange of views and experiences with Canadian stakeholders involved in the Americas is vital for us to deliver on our commitments in the hemisphere," said Minister of State Ablonczy. "Through its work with cooperatives in the Americas, SOCODEVI is making an important contribution to the region’s increasing prosperity."
In the Americas, SOCODEVI has projects in Bolivia, Cuba, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, and Peru.
