Minister Day to Speak to British Columbia Business Leaders

The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, will speak to British Columbia business leaders and international representatives at the Canada in the Global Economy conference on Thursday, March 26, 2009. The conference, co-hosted by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) and the Business Council of British Columbia, celebrates DFAIT’s 100th anniversary.

The conference will also focus on British Columbia business opportunities, such as globalization, the interdependence of trading nations, the Pacific Gateway and the upcoming 2010 Winter Games.

Minister Day will make an important announcement relating to trade and will take questions from the media following his speech.
