Minister Day to Hold Media Teleconference
The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, will hold a media teleconference from Bucharest (Romania) on May 7, 2009, to recap his trade promotion tour in Europe.
While in Europe, Minister Day attended the Canada-EU Summit in Prague (Czech Republic) with Prime Minister Stephen Harper and visited Vilnius (Lithuania), Riga (Latvia) and Bucharest (Romania). Minister Day highlighted Canada’s role as a supplier of high-quality goods and services, its expertise in the energy sector, and the importance of the EU as Canada’s second-most important trading partner.
