Minister Day to Participate in Official Farewell to Emperor and Empress of Japan
The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, will be present for the official farewell to Japan’s Emperor and Empress as they leave Canada on Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
During their stay in Canada from July 3 to 14, Their Majesties met with Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other Canadian officials, as well as representatives of the Japanese-Canadian community. They also visited major Canadian cities and attractions.
