Reminder - Minister Van Loan to Promote Canada’s Economic Success Story to U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Minister will highlight strong Canada-U.S. ties

(No. A/87 - May 14, 2010) The Honourable Peter Van Loan, Minister of International Trade, will address the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, May 18, 2010.

Minister Van Loan will discuss the importance of the Canada-U.S. economic relationship and the need for continuing vigilance against protectionist measures, such as “Buy American” provisions. He will also outline Canada’s ambitious free trade agenda and commitment to opening doors to commercial partnerships around the world.
