International Trade Minister Peter Van Loan to Discuss Free Trade, Jobs and Growth on Visit to Washington

Canada-U.S. free trade key to economic recovery

(No. A/4 – January 17, 2011) The Honourable Peter Van Loan, Minister of International Trade, will visit Washington, D.C., on January 19 and 20, 2011.

During his visit, Minister Van Loan will meet with members of Congress and business leaders. He will discuss the importance of the Canada-U.S. free trade and investment relationships as drivers of economic recovery, jobs and growth. Minister Van Loan will also promote Canada as an economic leader and a strategic destination for investment.
