Reminder - Minister of State Gosal to Hold Pre-Budget Talks and Discuss How Small and Medium-sized Businesses Will Benefit from Deeper Canada-India Economic Ties

February 15, 2012 - The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), on behalf of the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, will provide an update on progress to date toward a Canada-India free trade agreement, as the fourth round of trade negotiations takes place this week in Delhi. The update will be given in Brampton, Ontario, on February 16, 2012, as Minister of State Gosal tours Brar Sweets’ Ontario Impex manufacturing facility.

Minister of State Gosal will also lead a discussion on how small and medium-sized businesses will benefit from deeper Canada-India trade and investment ties. In addition, he will hold a pre-Budget consultation and highlight the Government of Canada’s commitment to deepening Canada’s trade ties with India to provide economic benefits to Canadian workers and their families.
