Minister Fast to Lead Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia and Jordan

October 5, 2012 - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, will travel to Saudi Arabia from October 5 to 7, 2012, and to Jordan from October 8 to 10 with a delegation of representatives of 22 Canadian companies and organizations from the infrastructure, health-care and education fields.

To maximize the benefits to the Canadian economy and to Canadian workers and their families, the Harper government’s approach to trade missions is to lead strategically focused, sector-specific missions to countries that offer Canadian businesses and workers the greatest potential for growth and success.

While in the region, Minister Fast will promote the numerous advantages of deepening Canada’s trade and investment relationships throughout the Middle East as part of the Harper government’s commitment to opening new markets to increase Canadian exports.
