(No. 58 - February 8, 2011 - 3:10 p.m. ET) The Honourable Peter Van Loan, Minister of International Trade, today announced the reappointment of Linda Hohol to the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada. The reappointment is for a three-year term.
“Since Ms. Hohol was first appointed to the Board in 2007, she has made significant contributions in support of Export Development Canada’s stable financial foundation and business strategies,” said Minister Van Loan. “I have every confidence that she will continue to play an important role in the organization.”
A former executive vice-president of wealth management at CIBC and a former president of the TSX Venture Exchange, Ms. Hohol has significant experience in the financial sector and expertise in venture capital financing and wealth management. Currently based in Alberta, she is a director of several non-profit and private-sector corporations, including ATB Financial, EllisDon Construction Services, Alberta Health Services and United Way of Calgary, and has been inducted into Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100.
