Brazil

On his first visit abroad, the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, is leading a trade mission to Brazil of 19 Canadian companies to explore business opportunities in infrastructure and services. These sectors have been identified as high-potential opportunities as Brazil prepares to host the 2014 FIFA (Fédération International de Football Association) World Cup soccer tournament and the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and as it undertakes an infrastructure development initiative worth US$805 billion called the Accelerated Growth Program.
