Minister Fast Presents Hope for Youth Scholarship to Japanese Student in Area Devastated by This Year’s Earthquake and Tsunami

The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia Pacific Gateway, presents 16-year-old Mako Matsukawa with one of the first Hope for Youth scholarships, which were established by the Embassy of Canada to Japan. The scholarships will allow 150 youth affected by the March 2011 disaster to study English or French in Canada.
