November 7, 2011 - Mumbai, India - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, visits Saifee Hospital in Mumbai on the occasion of the Muslim holiday of Bakri-Eid. Established by the Dawoodi Bohra Islamic community to provide medical care to people of all backgrounds in Mumbai, this private hospital, with its modern facilities and equipment, is one of the most technologically advanced in the city.

Minister Fast was also on hand when British-Columbia-based Healthcare Resource Group (HRG) provided a demonstration of its personal access terminal at the hospital. The terminal offers TV (including satellite), movies, internet, telephone and videoconferencing capabilities, and provides patients with a means to communicate directly with the hospital staff. Although this was HRG’s first visit to India, the company believes there are many opportunities in Indian hospitals for its products.
