Minister Fast Meets European Union Trade Commissioner at WTO Ministerial Meeting

December 16, 2011 - Geneva, Switzerland - International Trade Minister Ed Fast held his first face-to-face meeting with Karel De Gucht, European Union Trade Commissioner, on the margins of the Eighth World Trade Organization Ministerial Meeting in Geneva where they discussed Canada and the EU’s shared commitment to an ambitious outcome of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement negotiations. Minister Fast also reaffirmed to the Trade Commissioner the importance of Canada’s commercial relationship with the European Union and its member states.
