Minister Fast Promotes Canada to Washington Business Leaders, Highlighting Canada’s Strong Economic Fundamentals

March 7, 2012 - Washington, D.C. - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, today spoke at an investment conference in Washington, D.C., where he discussed how to preserve the envied competitive advantages Canada and the United States enjoy through a fully integrated supply chain. He also highlighted how investments and strategic partnerships will help Canadian and U.S. businesses continue to succeed and create jobs and prosperity on both sides of the border. Canada’s low taxes, strong economy, talented workforce and outstanding quality of life offer U.S. businesses a solid and stable destination for investment.

The Washington conference is part of a series of investment conferences that have been taking place across the United States. They have been organized in partnership with The Financial Times.
