Minister Fast Meets with New French Minister of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade
May 23, 2012 - Paris, France - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, meets with Pierre Moscovici, France’s new minister of economy, finance and foreign trade, on the margins of the annual Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) ministerial meeting and an informal gathering of World Trade Organization (WTO) ministers.
Ministers Fast and Moscovici discussed Canada’s commitment to an ambitious outcome to the Canada-EU comprehensive economic and trade agreement negotiations.
Minister Fast and his counterparts at the OECD and WTO meetings discussed ways to deepen and improve global trade and investment ties. They also welcomed the findings of a new publication released by the OECD confirming the critical role trade plays in creating jobs, growth and prosperity.
