Minister Fast Tours Tulpar Technic Hangar as Part of Trade Mission to Russia
June 5, 2012 – Kazan, Russia - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, visits Tulpar Air’s Technic hangar in Kazan, Russia. Bombardier Aerospace is in the process of approving Kazan-based Tulpar Air to service its CRJ100/200 regional jets and Challenger 850 business jets in Russia. Russia has been one of the top growth markets for Bombardier in the last few years.
It is expected that with improving economic conditions and maturing of the market, the region will continue to grow in importance for Bombardier.
As Russia’s civilian fleet is modernized and replaced, significant opportunities will continue for Bombardier there.
Minister Fast began the second leg of his visit to Russia following the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministers Responsible for Trade meeting in Kazan.
