November 7, 2012 - Chandigarh - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, launches the new Canada Pavilion at the Hatch for Startups (the Hatch), which will serve as an incubation ground for high-potential Indian entrepreneurs and visiting Canadian entrepreneurs.
During his visit to the Hatch, Minister Fast welcomed three agreements between the Hatch and Canadian entities that will help foster entrepreneurs and Canada-India collaboration:
Trade between India, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, and Canada is increasing. The strength of the ties between the two countries is also reflected in the estimated 1 million Canadians of Indian origin.
Minister Fast is accompanying Prime Minister Stephen Harper on a state visit to India from November 3 to 9, 2012.
