Minister Ablonczy Meets with Colombian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs

November 14, 2012 - Bogotá, Colombia - The Honourable Diane Ablonczy, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas and Consular Affairs), meets with Patti Londoño, Colombian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss how Canada and Colombia can build on their excellent bilateral relationship.

They discussed benefits realized as a result of the one-year-old Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement. They also discussed how to maximize bilateral benefits from the Double Taxation Agreement, which came into force in June 2012, and the recently concluded air transport agreement.

Minister Ablonczy also congratulated the Government of Colombia on launching negotiations to end the conflict with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia..
