Minister of State Ablonczy Visits Chile

Valparaíso, Chile

Diane Ablonczy, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas and Consular Affairs), will travel to Valparaíso, Chile, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Inter-American Democratic Charter on September 3, 2011.
 
While in Chile, Minister of State Ablonczy will meet with Fernando Schmidt, Chile’s Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs. The meeting will demonstrate Canada’s commitment to maintaining a high-level engagement with Chile and to improving bilateral and commercial ties between the two countries.
 
Minister of State Ablonczy will also take part in a round-table luncheon with leading Canadian investors active in Chile and visit a recently approved Canada Fund for Local Initiatives project.
