John Baird, Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister, presents opening remarks at the Canada-India Education Summit hosted by Carleton University in collaboration with the High Commission of India, the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.

The summit included round-table discussions on joint degree programs, joint research, credit transfers, degree recognition and technology in international teaching—supporting activities in the context of the Canada-India Memorandum of Understanding concerning cooperation in higher education signed in June 2010.
