Section 2 of the Note has been updated to specify that, for the purpose of accreditation of children between the ages of 19 and 25, proof of full-time admission into a course or program of study is required. Previously, a proof of effective enrolment was required.

A footnote was added with a reference to the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program administered by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

The title of the policy has been updated to include parents and in-laws. Also, s.2 of the policy has been updated to clarify the immigration rules applying to children who attain the age of 25 and who intend to stay in Canada.
