Baird Meets with Peruvian President

February 18, 2013 - Lima - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird meets with Peru’s President, Ollanta Humala.
Discussions touched on the multi-faceted and deepening relationship between Canada and Peru. This includes new and evolving partnerships in the Pacific Alliance and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a growing trade and investment relationship, increasing academic exchanges, collaboration in the area of defence, and cooperation on development projects.
As a leader in key areas affecting the hemisphere, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, Canada is committed to working with Peru and other like-minded partners to increase economic opportunity and strengthen security in the Americas.
