North American Leaders' Summit

On June 29, 2016, Canada hosted the North American Leaders’ Summit at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario. This summit represented an opportunity for the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, and the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, to discuss key priorities aimed at creating jobs, strengthening communities and building a clean growth economy for North America. The leaders also took important steps to create a more integrated, sustainable and globally-competitive North American economy.

This marks the first time since 2007 that Canada hosted the Summit, and highlighted Canada’s commitment to strengthen the relationship with our North American partners.
