Ministers to Represent Canada at World Economic Forum

January 21 to 24, 2015

The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, the Honourable Christian Paradis Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, the Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Finance, and the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Industry, will attend the upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting from January 21 to 24 in Davos, Switzerland. 

The five ministers will hold bilateral meetings with their counterparts from other governments, as well as with business and civil society stakeholders. The ministers will also lead several WEF sessions to address issues related to the WEF’s 2015 theme: The New Global Context. 

The annual meeting brings together more than 2,500 of the world’s top leaders and decision makers from government, business and civil society. On the world stage, Canada will promote its world-class exports, highlight the economic advantages of investing in Canada and demonstrate the country’s global leadership.
