It is a pleasure to serve as Canada's Ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic is a stable and reliable partner and one of the Caribbean's most dynamic and fast-growing economies. As Canada seeks to expand and diversify its commercial relationships and strengthen economic resilience, the Dominican Republic stands out as a natural partner.
Canada brings together capital, advanced technological capabilities, and world-class expertise. These advantages create opportunities for collaboration in areas such as responsible resource development, including critical minerals, as well as advanced manufacturing, clean technology, and agriculture and agri-food. Canada and the Dominican Republic also share an interest in addressing common challenges in the Caribbean, including organized crime, drug trafficking, and maritime security.
I believe lasting partnerships are built through trust, transparency, and a demonstrated commitment to follow through over the long term. As Ambassador, I look forward to building on Canada's reputation as a trusted and reliable partner, focused on practical cooperation and mutual benefit.
