I am honoured to be appointed Canada’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait and to lead our dedicated Embassy team in representing Canada in this beautiful and welcoming country. I look forward to engaging with Canadians and Kuwaitis alike as we work together to deepen and advance our strong bilateral relationship.

Canada and Kuwait share a long-standing friendship that dates back to the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1965. Today, we continue to build on this strong foundation through cooperation in areas such as trade, peace and security, and strong people-to-people connections.

Approximately 8,000 Canadians live and work in Kuwait, contributing their expertise across key sectors including life sciences and health care, oil and gas, education, financial services, defence and security, and engineering. Their daily contributions play an important role in strengthening Canada–Kuwait ties. We are also fortunate to welcome many Kuwaitis who study and work in Canada, serving as vital bridges between our two countries.
