Office access - Consulate General of Canada in New York and Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations
The Consulate General and Permanent Mission are on the 20th floor of 466 Lexington Avenue between 45th and 46th streets.
The secondary address is 237 Park Avenue. The main building lobby is elevated from the street level.

Office access options
- The entrance on Lexington Avenue has 3 stairs and an escalator.
- There is a secondary entrance on Depew Place. This is accessible from either 45th or 46th Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue.
- A ramp is available on East 46th Street, just east of Park Avenue. Stairs are available next to the ramp.
- An exterior elevator is available on East 45th Street and Depew Place. This can be operated with a universal elevator key or by calling the number posted (212‑370‑1180), engaging the building’s security team. Stairs are available next to the elevator.
- Once inside, elevators are available at the lobby level.
- Punch in “20” on the wall pad. The screen will display the elevator car travelling to Floor 20.
- Pushing the wheelchair accessibility button at the bottom of the wall pad will activate audible commands.
- Security guards are available for assistance.
- When you reach the 20th floor, a screening process is required by metal detector or a security wand.

- Sign language interpretation and captioning services may be available with advanced notice.
- Service animals are welcome, however emotional support animals are not permitted.
Security
- No weapons of any kind (such as firearms and knives) are permitted at Government of Canada offices.
- All guests and visitors will be subject to security screening.
- Specialized security screening is available for visitors with pacemakers, in wheelchairs and/or who are pregnant.
- Lockers are available to secure electronic devices restricted on the premises.
- You must register separately in 237 Park/466 Lexington’s visitor management system (RISE) to access the elevator bank.
- Speak to your contact to ensure registration before arriving.
- Emergency exits are available between the main entrance of the Consulate General and the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations.
- They are also available to the east of the Ken and Pat Taylor Room.
