Citizenship services
Government of Canada offices in the United States do not provide citizenship services. You can apply online or send your application online or to Canada by mail. Please visit the Canadian citizenship website for more information regarding these services.
Notarial services
The Consulate General of Canada in Seattle provides limited notarial services. Please note that notarial services are provided only when the service is not available from a local third-party service provider such as a notary public. Requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Fees apply. The following services are available.

Passport services
Government of Canada offices in the United States do not provide regular passport services. You must send your applications to Canada by mail. Please visit the Canadian passports website for more information regarding these services.
If you need a passport urgently contact the Canadian Citizen Services Contact Centre for Canadians in the U.S. at 844-880-6519. Please be advised that additional fees apply for urgent services.

Visa and immigration services
Note: The Consulate in Seattle does not offer visa and immigration services and does not receive visa clients.
Visa and immigration services are offered at our Los Angeles and New York offices.
- Submit visa applications and study and work permits to an application support center (ASC). Book an appointment to give your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) at an ASC.
- Submit permanent residence applications and documents to a visa office.
- Submit applications to overcome criminal inadmissibility to a visa office.
