It is a great honour to serve as Canada’s Ambassador to Vietnam. I am proud to represent a country whose relationship with Vietnam continues to grow in depth, diversity, and strategic importance. Canada and Vietnam enjoy a dynamic partnership built on shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to regional peace and prosperity. Our partnership spans a wide range of areas—from trade and investment, development cooperation, education, and defence and security collaboration, to diplomatic and people-to-people exchanges.

Vietnam is Canada’s largest trading partner in Southeast Asia and a key partner in our Indo-Pacific Strategy. As Canada advances its policy of trade diversification, we are deepening economic ties with trusted partners across the region. Vietnam’s dynamic economy along with its commitment to rules-based international trade and sustainable development make it an ideal partner for Canada as we seek to build resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking trade and economic partnerships. Canada is recognized globally as a country of innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth, and we are proud to be a reliable trade and investment partner to Vietnam. Through trade promotion, policy dialogue, and economic engagement, the Embassy of Canada actively supports efforts to deepen our commercial ties with Vietnam and foster long-term prosperity for both countries.
