Change in process for passport and proof of citizenship services

Canadians in the region seeking passport and proof of citizenship services can now mail their application by courier to:

Pretoria, 0083, South Africa

Alternately, you may drop off your application at the drop box located at High Commission of Canada and your application will be forwarded for processing.

Your completed passport will be sent back to you directly. You will be responsible for arranging the collection of your paper citizenship certificate when it arrives at our office.

We have centralized these services in Pretoria to provide faster service to Canadians by processing applications more efficiently and reducing wait times.

Passport and proof of citizenship applications will only be available by courier. If you have inquiries or require accommodation, contact pret-consul@international.gc.ca.
