What is the Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy?

Global Affairs Canada’s Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy:

What is the Government of Canada’s 2022-2026 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy?

As legislated by the Federal Sustainable Development Act, Global Affairs Canada must table a Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy (DSDS) to demonstrate planned contributions to the achievement of the goals and targets set out in the 2022 to 2026 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS).
The FSDS sets out the Government of Canada’s goals, targets, milestones and implementation strategies for the next four years with a whole-of-government approach.
This is the first FSDS to be framed using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and provides a balanced view of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainable development.
