Biography

The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson brings three decades of experience at the intersection of public policy, technology, and international economic engagement.

Mr. Wilkinson was elected as the Member of Parliament for North Vancouver in 2015. During his time as a Parliamentarian, he has served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, as Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and theCanadian Coast Guard, as Minister of Environment and Climate Change, and as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wilkinson worked as a constitutional negotiator and a federal provincial relations specialist for former Saskatchewan Premier Roy Romanow. He wenton to spend more than 20 years in the private sector, holding leadership positions withseveral companies dedicated to the development of clean technologies. His work as Chief Executive Officer of both QuestAir Technologies and BioteQ Environmental Technologies (now BQE Water), in addition to his role as Senior Vice-President of Business Development with Nexterra, provided him with extensive experience in the energy and environmental technology sectors. He also worked at Bain & Company, a leading global management consultancy.

Raised in Saskatchewan, Mr. Wilkinson is a Rhodes Scholar. He has served on several industry and charitable boards, including United Way of the Lower Mainland, the BC Technology Industry Association (now the BC Tech Association), and the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation.
