Regulations Amending the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations

Whereas the Governor in Council is of the opinion that gross and systematic human rights violations have been committed in the Islamic Republic of Iran;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations under subsections 4(1)^a, (1.1)^b, (2)^c and (3) of the Special Economic Measures Act^d.

Amendment

1 Part 2.1 of Schedule 1 to the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations¹ is amended by adding the following in numerical order:

96. Abdol Hosein Khosrow Panah (born in 1967)
97. Hasan Rahimpour Azghadi (born in 1965)
98. Ensieh Khazali (born in 1963)
99. Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili (born in 1975)
100. Mohammad Masroor
101. Mojtaba Zonnouri (born on August 12, 1963)

Application Before Publication

2 For the purpose of paragraph 11(2)(a) of the Statutory Instruments Act, these Regulations apply according to their terms before they are published in the Canada Gazette.

Coming into Force

3 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
