Sydney, Australia

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Pride in Amsterdam typically draw more than 500,000 visitors from the Netherlands and abroad. A crowd favourite event during the 2-week festivities is the annual Canal Parade.

Last year, 80 elaborately decorated boats (including one by Canadian embassy staff) participated!

Following public alerts from the Dutch government, the Government of Canada advises attendees of public celebrations in the Netherlands, including Pride festivities in Amsterdam, to be particularly vigilant.

The São Paulo Pride Parade is the largest Pride event in South America—even the world—with millions attending it each year.

If you travel to Brazil for Pride, the Government of Canada advises to be aware of your surroundings at all times and follow the security directives of local authorities due to high rates of crime.
