The applicant should scan the original of the Canadian document and attach it to an email (as attachment not in the content of the email) to firstname.lastname@example.org , the consular section will relay the document to the authentication department at Global Affairs Canada then will relay the response to applicant once received.
After obtaining the official birth certificate of a child born in Egypt, the birth certificate has to be translated at either the Egyptian ministry of Health or at the civil department of the Egyptian ministry of interior (Ahwal Madaneya at Abbasseya), then the translation has to be legalized by the legalization office of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Walk-ins are accepted for individuals who are coming to pick-up their documents only.
Civil marriage is issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Justice, a declaration prepared by the Canadian citizen and witnessed by the Embassy of Canada in Cairo is requested. Canadian citizens can email the consular section of the Embassy of Canada to Egypt, in Cairo to request information before an appointment of notarial service is scheduled.

The office provides the following notarial services, by appointment only, to Canadian citizens and, in limited cases, to non-Canadian citizens if the documents are intended for use in Canada. Note: Documents must be in English or French, or accompanied by an official translation in English or French.
