On July 7, 2026, Canada and Türkiye announced their intention to launch negotiations toward a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA).
Consultations
The Government of Canada is conducting public consultations from July 31, 2026, to September 14, 2026, seeking the views of Canadian businesses, industry associations, provinces and territories, and the public on a potential Canada-Türkiye FTA.
