Ongoing and past crises abroad
The Government of Canada responds quickly and appropriately to crises and emergencies abroad, such as natural disasters, conflicts, or acute food insecurity. Depending on the scale and impact of a crisis, a response may be required, and may include consular emergency assistance for Canadians, humanitarian assistance, or diplomacy.
Canada's response is the result of close cooperation among Global Affairs Canada, other government departments, foreign governments and international partners.
