Minister Fast Leads Trade Mission to ASEAN Region and India

The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, will lead a two-day trade mission to boost Canada’s export and investment partnerships with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Philippines, as chair of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2015.
Minister Fast will continue his mission in Manila, Philippines, where he will meet with his Filipino counterparts, including Gregory Domingo, Secretary of Trade and Industry. The Philippines is a priority country under Canada’s Global Markets Action Plan. As chair of APEC for 2015, the Philippines shares Canada’s commitment to fostering the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the global economy.
Following a successful trade mission to ASEAN and the Philippines, Minister Fast was in Delhi, India, to meet with Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance, and Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry.
