Parking at the Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport in Montréal
The Office of Protocol of Global Affairs Canada provides information on this page about parking areas at the Montréal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport, which are administered by ADM Aéroports de Montréal, the airport authority for the greater Montréal area.
Free parking for less than eight (8) hours at P4
Holders of a Government of Canada identification card starting with the letter “C”, “D”, “J,” or “SR” are able to park for free for periods of less than eight (8) hours. This also applies to accredited family members driving the vehicle.
In order to park for free, those concerned must present their identification card when they leave the parking facilities; if they do not present the card, the applicable parking rates will apply.
Free parking at CellParc
ADM Aéroports de Montréal also offers greeters free parking at CellParc if the driver is waiting inside the vehicle. When passengers arrive, greeters are asked to proceed to the designated passenger pick-up area.
Long-term parking
Holders of a “D” identification card, as well as holders of an identification card with a vehicle displaying a Quebec license plate beginning with CD or CC, are entitled to completely free long-term parking in the P4 parking lot upon presentation of their card at the parking lot exit.
For information on long-term parking terms and conditions and rates, diplomatic missions and international organizations can also contact ADM Aéroports de Montréal directly at stationnement@admtl.com or visit the Montréal Trudeau International Airport webpage. For all urgent inquiries, please contact 438-221-9197.
Other considerations
This webpage is not intended to interpret or limit the scope of current or future parking agreements entered into by ADM Aéroports de Montréal.
The Office of Protocol would also like to clarify that there is no rule of international law that prescribes free parking for accredited foreign representatives at airports. It should be noted that, when developing and implementing their parking programs, private airports strive to ensure the security of members of the public and their equitable access to parking, while reducing congestion and discrimination.
The Office of Protocol is unable to intervene when the relevant authorities issue notices of violation or other contraventions for the inappropriate use of these parking facilities and services.
